Kelly Clarkson is one of the stars who’ll be paying tribute to the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, on ABC’s upcoming special The Year in Memoriam 2018.
Hosted by Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel, the show will honor the stars we lost this year, including Aretha. Kelly is just one of the singers who’ll be sharing stories about Aretha, who was one of her biggest influences. Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson will also be talking about their relationship with the legendary singer, who died August 16.
The special will also remember acting legend Burt Reynolds, scientist Stephen Hawking, Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee, Sen. John McCain and former first lady Barbara Bush.
ABC’s The Year in Memoriam 2018 airs December 17 at 10 p.m. ET.
