Adams Central School Board Begins Process on High School Parking Lot Renovation

HASTINGS – The Adams Central Public School Board took the first steps at Monday’s board meeting about renovating the high school parking lot. They hired W Design to take a look at the parking lot and see what the cost and options might be.

Superintendent Shawn Scott says they are looking at every option.

There’s the option of just covering what we have right now to tearing out. I know we have some drainage issues we’d like to take care of. W Design has that task to look at it and say, “Hey, here’s your different options and all the prices.” We’re really at the beginning stages of this. We really don’t have any solid options, right now, in front of us. But in the next few months, we hope to.

Scott says that they’re hoping to get the updates for the parking lot started next summer.

He says they’ve been planning for this expense for a while now and they’ve been saving up for it, so nothing will change for the taxpayers.
