HASTINGS – The Bigfoot Crossroads of American Museum and Research Center is celebrating it’s one year anniversary. They opened their doors last year on September 12th but they are celebrating the anniversary Saturday and Sunday.
They will be open Saturday from 10:30 to 4:30 and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00. Since they opened up there have been visitors from 14 different states, Canada, and Japan, they’ve added three new exhibits, and Harriet McFeely, the owner, has hosted the only Bigfoot conference in the state of Nebraska at the Hastings City Auditorium for the last few years.
McFeely says that they are trying to put in additions to the garden that was destroyed by a storm.
In the garden we will have different areas. We’ve got one corner that is specifically set aside to become a military garden, and then another one that has handicap accessible planters in that.
She says that she does need some volunteer help and cement to finish the garden project. If you wish to volunteer time or cement to help the garden you can call 402-705-0000 for more information.
They are a non-profit organization as well so it is a tax write off. The museum is located at 1205 East 42nd Street
