GERMANY – Governor Ricketts and his trade delegation visited the world’s leading agricultural technology fair as they continue the trade mission to Germany.
The fair, Argritechnica, is hosted in Hannover with 450,00 visitors from 130 countries. At Agritechnica, Gov. Ricketts hosted a seminar pitching fair attendees on investing in Nebraska.
Ricketts said that these trade missions are important to the economy of Nebraska.
Developing those relationships with German companies that have invested in Nebraska so we can continue to see their investment and grow those opportunities here in our state. And expand relationships for our Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and companies and look to get more investment back in Nebraska which is the overall goal of all of our trade missions.
Ricketts said expanding relationships with not only Germany, but the entire European Union, is important because the EU market is trending up and they are the fourth biggest export market for a lot of products in Nebraska, including soy beans. In 2018 over $500 million in exports were sent to the EU.
