Hastings Library Comic Book Day with Bob Hall

HASTINGS – The Hastings Public Library is hosting a Comic Book Day tomorrow that will get underway at 10am and will go until a little after five.

They will be joined by a special guest who has worked with major comic book publications.

Kristy Hruska, a librarian, says there will be a lot of fun events going on at the Library.

10am we have a superhero story time and Spiderman will be there. And then at 1:30 we are starting our superhero workshop. And that will go on until 3:30. You can come at whatever time you want during that time. And that is for all ages so you can come in, meet Spiderman again, there will be free comic books there. And a famous comic book artist, Bob Hall, will be there doing demonstrations. And then later at 4:00 we have Bob Hall who will actually be doing a presentation.

Bob Hall is a cartoonist, writer, and editor who has worked for Marvel, DC, and Valiant comics. He drew many popular characters for Marvel such as Captain America, Spiderman, Thor, and the Mighty Avengers. For DC, he created a series of Batman graphic novels. And for Valiant Comics he wrote and drew a series called Shadowman.

The library is encouraging people to dress up in costume for the parade through the library. The event is free and open to the public.
