The Nebraska men’s basketball team will try to snap a seven game losing streak when they host Minnesota tonight at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Huskers are 13-11 on the season, 3-10 in the Big Ten Conference and have not won a game since knocking off Indiana 66-51 on January 14th. They haven’t won a home game since beating Penn State 70-64 on January 10th. Minnesota is 16-8 overall, 6-7 in the league. They’re led by six-eight point guard Amir Coffey, who is averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds per game. Tip-off will be at 8:00pm. The Nebraska women’s basketball team will play at 7th ranked Maryland tomorrow night. The Huskers are 11-13 on the season, 6-7 in the conference after Sunday’s 67-61 win over Purdue. The Terrapins are 22-2, 11-2 in the conference. Maryland is 10-0 against Nebraska in the all time series. Tip-off will be at 7:00pm. The Hastings College basketball teams will entertain Midland tonight at Lynn Farrell Arena. The Broncos won two close games with the Warriors earlier this season. The women won 70-65 on November 28th while the men picked up a 64-60 win. The women’s game will be at 6:00pm with the men to follow at 8:00pm. Doniphan/Trumbull will play top seeded Hastings St. Cecilia tonight in the semifinals of the C2-10 Subdistrict Tournament at Adams Central. The Cardinals took care of Franklin 61-26 last night. Doniphan/Trumbull led 19-5 after the first quarter and led 35-8 at halftime. Katie Roach hit three three-pointers and finished with 13 points. St. Cecilia beat Doniphan/Trumbull 55-36 earlier this season. Tip-off will be at 6:00pm. In the other game, Wood River will take on Blue Hill. In other action last night, Northwest won the B-6 Subdistrict Tournament with a 43-27 win over York. C1-9 at Kearney, Minden got by Gibbon 31-30. The Whippets will play Grand Island Central Catholic at 6:00pm tonight followed by Kearney Catholic and Adams Central at 7:30pm. We’ll have the games on Power 99 KKPR beginning with the pre-game show at 5:45pm. At the C1-10 Tournament at Central Valley High School in Greeley, Centura got by Ravenna 63-58 in three overtimes, C2-3 at Fairbury, Sutton beat Sandy Creek 56-38 and at the D1-4 Tournament at Grand Island Central Catholic, Lawrence Nelson beat Shelton 65-25 and Giltner knocked off Harvard 62-38.
